Susan Halliwell is an experienced senior leader in local government with over 20 years of experience working in the sector and is currently Chief Executive Officer for Bracknell Forest Council.

As a geographer Susan has shaped her career around the place leadership agenda. Having worked at both county and unitary councils Susan has a broad and extensive experience of strategic planning for growth, securing large scale investment, complex transformation and enabling collaborative political decision making to unlock growth opportunities. Since securing the political commitment to establishing the Berkshire Prosperity Board Susan has been the lead Chief Executive for environment and climate change, which has recently extended to being the Thames Valley lead for environment and climate change linked to the emerging Thames Valley strategic authority. Susan is also the Chief Executive lead on spatial development strategies for the Thames Valley, providing a pivotal role in the future sub-regional investment landscape.
